If you have already worked in Germany and have become unemployed, you should register yourself as unemployed with the Bonn/Rhein Sieg Employment Agency. There they will check if you are entitled to Unemployment Benefits I.
If you do not receive Unemployment Benefits I and / or you do not have enough money to support yourself and your family, please contact the Rhein-Sieg ARGE; there you can apply for Unemployment Benefits II.
In order that the Federal Employment Agency or the Rhein-Sieg ARGE can further assist you, you must have your educational and professional certificates recognised as soon as possible. Without this recognition you cannot work in your profession or do further training. You will find out how to have your certificates recognised, or how to become self-employed, on the Professional Recognition page.
In order to increase its chances of providing employment to foreign citizens, the Rhein-Sieg ARGE works together with various cooperation partners; particularly in the area of professionally orientated language courses.
