The central task of integration agencies in the Rhein-Sieg region is to promote the integration of people with an immigration history actively and more efficiently than before. They should facilitate identifying the opportunities and problems in their integration work and search for support and solutions by working with free and public funding bodies and migrant associations on a joint basis. Integration agencies should:

• promote effective local integration,
• create awareness for the task on hand,
• activate, unite and accompany potential on an intercultural and competent basis

Target groups of the integration work are social services, disseminators, migrant and voluntary organisations with and without migration history.Corner stones of the work of the integration agencies are:

• Civic commitment from and for people with a migration history
• Intercultural provisions to services and institutions
• Work centred around social welfare
